The architectural approach was grounded in respect for the building’s layered history — stripping back later additions to reveal original brickwork, pressed metal ceilings, and timber detailing that give the space its enduring character. These heritage elements are offset by a restrained palette of new materials — oak, steel, and terrazzo — that introduce warmth and durability suited to the hotel’s daily rhythm.

The reconfiguration of the bistro floor plan enhances visual connection between the bar, dining, and courtyard areas, allowing the venue to flex between casual daytime use and intimate evening dining. A new central bar anchors the interior, crafted as both a functional hub and sculptural element that celebrates craftsmanship and honest materials.
