Once a traditional corner hotel, the venue has been carefully reinterpreted through an architectural lens that celebrates texture, patina, and the social role of the inner-west pub. The project restores the building’s Federation bones — exposing original brickwork, reinstating arched openings, and reworking the roof structure — while introducing new layers of timber, brass, and steel that lend a timeless, crafted quality.

Internally, the layout has been reimagined to open the pub to light, movement, and community. The new bistro and bar spaces are unified by a palette of muted greens, warm natural finishes, and custom lighting that accentuates the rhythm of the heritage envelope. A reconfigured courtyard anchors the design, creating a flexible social space that transitions easily from daytime gatherings to evening events.
